Emily's been a trooper, working hard at her home school courses and still finding time to practice her flute, piano, guitar (and drums, too!). As a reward - to all of us...:-) - we adopted a new puppy named little bean ("beanie") who is a 7 pound "yorkiepoo" and will travel with us so come meet him in your town!

This past Saturday and Sunday we had 2 days at American Adventures right here in Marietta, GA check http://www.sixflags.com/americanadventure/info/parkInfo.aspx for details on upcoming events there. Next up is a busy trip to Washington, DC where we play 4 shows in 4 days - Borders, Silver Springs on Friday a.m. and the Gravity Lounge in Charlottesville, VA on Friday p.m. (whew!) then on Saturday, it's Jammin' Java in Vienna, VA and finally a very big Easter gig on Monday! We'll be rollin' those eggs ;-) !

Pottery Barn Kids at the Forum in Alpharetta follows on 4/12 at 10.a.m. and 11 a.m. and...

If that wasn't crazy enough, we get back for a few days and then fly to Los Angeles to perform 2 days at the L.A. Times Festival of Books presented by Target. The dates are 4/28 and 4/29 and we're honored to be asked to participate for such a good cause and to be included with such notables as Julie Andrews, John Lithgow, Gore Vidal and Elizabeth Taylor! While we're in L.A. we are going to play a set for a big XM Radio event at Walmart to be taped for a later "live" broadcast - we'll keep you posted!

So glad to say that Laughing Pizza music videos are still seen on PBA-30, Atlanta's PBS station, every day, several times a day! We have reached many new families, and thanks to the viewers, PBA-30 continues to see fantastic growth numbers and receives many kind emails, letters, and phone calls - so keep 'em coming! Thanks, PBA!

Lastly, we are proud to announce that we are beginning work on our new DVD which will also serve as our TV pilot for our own Laughing Pizza show! If you're familiar with the kids shows "Doug", "PB&J Otter", "Stanley", "Jo-Jo's Circus", and "Pinky Dinky Doo", then you know the company that created them...Cartoon Pizza. Yes, I'm not kidding. It's Cartoon Pizza. How's that for an amazing coincidence (or is it?) We met them and instantly hit it off and now we're working together on a fantastic music based, live action and animated project featuring Laughing Pizza music and a fun story. We start shooting in May, and if all goes well, the DVD will be ready for the Fall. We can't wait!

It's been a while since we last wrote, and there's a good reason! We are proud to announce that Sony BMG Music - that is, Epic Records and Sony Wonder - has signed the Pizza!s to a broad-based deal, and will help take us to the next level!

We couldn't have found a better home, and what's even cooler is that they found us! The presidents of both labels (Epic for music and Sony Wonder for DVD) were heavily involved in making this deal happen, and we are incredibly excited about what is yet to come! LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Mon. Jun. 5, 2006 - Atlanta-based pop trio Laughing Pizza has signed a deal with Sony BMG Music to develop children's recordings, direct-to-DVD titles and TV programming based on the group's live act.

Laughing Pizza is composed of husband-and-wife duo Billy Schlosser and Lisa Michaelis, and their young daughter, Emily.

Sony BMG's Epic Records and its children's arm, Sony Wonder, plan to mount national tours and merchandising for the trio, who emphasize healthy living in their music.

"The potential for the growth of this unique franchise is huge," said Epic president Charlie Walk, who credited his own children for introducing him to Laughing Pizza.

On Sunday, June 18th - Father's Day! - join us at historic Eddie's Attic for one of our last Atlanta area shows before our major CD and DVD release this fall.

Laughing Pizza had fun in the sun in the Hamptons in New York last week when they performed two shows in the DKNY Kids tent during the Super Saturday fund raiser for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. The event was covered by Entertainment Tonight, Live with Regis and Kelly, and the group got a nice mention in Women's Wear Daily. The day raised over $2 million dollars - a new record!]]>
